Crafted from barley grown on the Himalayan plateaus in Punjab and Rajasthan, and malted on-site at the distillery in Bangalore, this Amrut expression has been entirely matured in a port cask. It presents particularly dense and complex fruity and malty tones, with a deliciously oriental character offering a deeply charming finish.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Powerful and concentrated, with fine fruity notes of grape and vegetal hints of gum arabic. Aromas of stewed fruits like grape, strawberry, and apricot emerge, followed by dominant malted barley with chocolate nuances.

  • Palate: Taut and lively, initially showing light reduction. Quickly transitions to flavors of vanilla, exotic fruits such as mango and guava, and candied fruits like apricot, walnut, and pear. The mid-palate is praline, chocolatey, and delicately liquorice.

  • Finish: Long and silky, characterized by notes of spearmint and bitter orange. The aftertaste offers delicious Turkish delight and a pistachio and rose-flower dessert. The flavor palette becomes more elegant and rich, with hints of custard tart and lychee.
