Journey back to the end of the 19th century when Wm. Teacher laid the foundation for Ardmore, a rare peated Highland single malt that imparted its distinctive smoky qualities to the well-loved blends crafted by the renowned distillery. In the hands of Beam Suntory today, Ardmore's official bottlings are scarce, but the independent releases that have graced the market over the years have become highly coveted.
Here, we present an extraordinary gem – an incredibly rare bottling from the 1980s, specially crafted for the directors of WM. Teacher & Sons, a company by then part of Allied Distillers. This expression, along with its 15-year-old counterpart from the 1970s, is a true rarity, seldom seen and highly sought after by whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike.
