In 1985, Mainardi, alongside contemporaries like Silvano Samaroli, pioneered offering customers a choice between standard 40-46% ABV bottlings and cask strength releases from the same casks. This approach provided enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to experience the same whisky at different strengths, catering to a diverse range of preferences.
